Super Collapse was one of the very first puzzle games that took the Internet by storm and helped launch the Casual Game revolution. Now the game is in its 3rd installment and combines the best of all previous versions into one great game!

If you have never played a Collapse game, it is really easy to learn. Colored blocks form rows that rise to slowly (or sometimes quickly) fill the screen. Click on groups of 3 or more of the same color to make them dissappear before they completely fill the screen. Survive for a certain amount of time and you can go to the next screen.

A Brand New Quest Mode

Far and away the best new feature of Super Collapse 3 is the Quest Mode. You will adventure through 10 different lands that have many different Collapse puzzles to work through. You get to choose which path to take through each land.

You will play traditional Collapse, Relapse where the blocks come from the top and bottom of the screen, Puzzle where you try to make all the blocks dissapear through careful clicking, Strategy, and more. All these game types provide alot of variety as you travel through each land. Don't like a certain game type? Most lands give you a choice of paths to take so you can bypass harder puzzles.

New Mini-Games to Aid the Adventurer

Another great feature is the addition of the Casino and other mini-games. Use coins you collect in the regular puzzles to spend in the casino. Win the casino games and get more coins to spend in the Store.

The Store has essential items to buy for your quest. Get colored bombs to help remove more blocks, hourglasses to give you more time, solutions to Puzzle modes, and more secrets items that will become available the further you get in the game.

Or Just Play a Quick Game Instead

Not up to a lengthy adventure? No problem! All the Collapse modes become available for you in Quick Play. These are just like the old Collapse games you love and are great for some relaxing fun or stress relief after work or on a break. As you get further in Quest Mode, even more game types become available in Quick Play.

Basically if you love Collapse and want 1 game - this is it. Super Collapse 3 has so many ways to play and more variety than ever before. A real winner!

Super Collapse 3 Review

Super Collapse! 3 is a fast-paced puzzle game where blocks quickly build up from the bottom of the screen to the top. Your goal is to eliminate blocks before they reach the top by clicking groups of 3 or more blocks of the same color. There are also several game types to add some variety and twists to the normal gameplay, like blocks that constantly move left to right as they build up. You can jump right into the action in Quick Play mode, or earn coins that can be used to purchase powerups and new game types in Quest mode. You'll need to think hard and fast to beat levels and earn high scores that you can compare against other players across the world.

Basic Gameplay

The gameplay in Super Collapse! 3 is very simple and straightforward. Every so often, a line of different colored blocks will form at the bottom of the screen. As you play, more lines will be created and begin to stack higher and higher. Your goal is to eliminate these blocks before they reach the top of the screen. You do this by clicking a group of 3 or more blocks of the same color. You continue to do so until the number of lines (shown by a counter on the screen) runs out and the level ends.

Powerups Help Your Game

Occasionally, various powerups will appear in one of the lines. The effects of a powerup range from eliminating all the blocks of a certain color to all of those in a certain area. These powerups are very useful and helpful, but also add some more strategy and thinking to the game. You can use them right away, save them for a certain point to maximize the impact, or save them for an emergency where you need to quickly eliminate some blocks. They can help out the players having trouble, but players who are more skilled can also make great use of them.

Lots of Levels and Puzzle Types

There are a multitude of levels and puzzles to play throughout the Quest and Quick Play modes. As you you progress through the game, these levels add more block colors to deal with, lines form faster, you need to eliminate more lines, and more. Unfortunately, there still isn't a lot of change or variety from level to level other than the difficulty. The gameplay doesn't really change, and it can become somewhat repetitive. The one exception is the puzzle game type, which offers unique and challenging puzzles every time. The puzzles require more time and thinking than the other game types, and bring a more traditional puzzle game experience to Super Collapse! 3.

Several Game Modes

One of the better aspects of Super Collapse! 3 is the multiple game modes and types offered. Quest mode takes you through levels, and you earn coins for successfully beating those levels. You can then use these coins to buy powerups, game hints, puzzle solutions, new game types, and more. Quick Play lets you jump right into the action. In this mode, you pick a game type to play and then play continuously through levels until you lose and the game ends.

Both Quest and Quick Play offer seven different types of games to play. There is Classic, which is the normal type of play. Relapse adds new challenges with blocks forming at both the top and bottom of the screen, with your goal to keep them from meeting in the middle. Strategy only forms new lines as you eliminate blocks, requiring you to think out your moves for maximum impact. Slider has blocks moving left and right as they build up, increasing the challenge. Continuous has you playing one level for as long as you can last, while Countdown has you trying to maximize your score before time runs out.

The final game type available is Puzzle, which offers unique and difficulty puzzles to try and solve. These different game modes and types add a lot of variety and help fight off the repetitive feeling of normal gameplay.

No Difficulty Adjustments

Like many other similar games, Super Collapse! 3 does not offer difficulty levels. Instead, the difficulty slowly ramps up as you progress through the game. Higher difficulty brings more lines of blocks to deal with, more block colors, fewer powerups, and more. However, this game does have some alternatives for players having difficulty. The first is the sheer number of game types and game modes available that offer a wide range of challenges for players of all skill levels. Additionally, the Quest mode rewards coins for completing levels, which can then be used to buy things like powerups, puzzle solutions, or even to skip a level completely. This comes in handy when you're having trouble or get stuck and just want to get past the level you're on. Some difficulty options never hurt, but this game does provide alternatives and help to those who need it.

Colorful Graphics

The graphics of the game are another positive point. They are colorful and well done, and make a great addition to the game. The music and sound effects also improve the game, although you may tire of some of the sound effects after playing for a while.

Overall, Super Collapse! 3 is an excellent choice for those interested in a puzzle game to play. There are a few minor issues like repetitive play, but they aren't a huge detraction or uncommon for this type of game. Super Collapse! 3 offers seven different types of games and two modes of play to add some variety and keep gameplay interesting. There are a multitude of levels and puzzles throughout to keep you busy for hours on end. You can earn coins in Quest mode and use them to buy everything from powerups to new game types.
