Game Description

In the strategic card game Legends of Runeterra, which features renowned champions and allies from the League of Legends universe, talent and ingenuity triumph over all. Your success in this game is determined by skill, not luck. Find special card synergies and defeat your opponent, combine renowned champions, allies, and Runeterran locations.

RULE EACH MOMENT

You can always react and counter thanks to the dynamic, alternating gameplay, but so can your opponent. Select from a variety of champion cards to put in your deck; each one has a unique mechanic based on the champions' original League of Legends skills.

Champions begin the fight as strong cards, and if you use your strategy, you can level them up to make them even more epic. As you play more, you'll level your champions several times in game and unlock crests for Champion Mastery.

CONTINUOUS NEW WAYS TO PLAY

Every hero and ally in the game is a native of a different region of Runeterra. Demacia, Noxus, Freljord, Piltover & Zaun, Ionia, Targon, Shurima, the Shadow Isles, and Bandle City are the nine regions from which you can choose cards.

Investigate how various champions and areas interact to give you distinct advantages over your opponents. In a meta that is constantly changing, combine, modify, and experiment with regular new releases.

SELECT YOUR PATH

Each decision you make affects your adventure in PvE. As you progress throughout the area, react to unusual events, collect and equip power ups, reveal new champions, and meet new obstacles. The adversaries will get stronger, but you will too, and the more you play, the more endings you'll find.

NEVER PAY TO WIN

You control your collection and never pay for packs of cards. You can get cards for free or purchase exactly what you want with shards and wildcards. You can always spend money on particular champions, but you don't need to in order to finish your collection.

Whether you win or lose, every conflict advances your knowledge and skills. Change regions as frequently as you like and decide which zone you will explore first before unlocking the cards that speak to you. You'll acquire new companions, spells, and champions as you advance.

You'll also be able to open chests from the Vault once every week. The rarity of the cards within these chests increases from common all the way up to champion as you play more. Additionally, they may contain wildcards, which can be instantly transformed into any card.

DRAFT AND ADAPT

Limited time experimental game variants called 'Labs' are geared toward more radical alterations to the standard Legends of Runeterra formula. Bring your own deck or select one with particular restrictions. The rules are always changing, so occasionally you might need some assistance from your friends! ASCEND THE RANKS

Each season's seasonal tournament will allow 1024 eligible Ranked players from each of LoR's four regional shards to compete for honor, glory, and a monetary prize.

The Last Chance Gauntlet can also be used to qualify, thus ranked play isn't the sole option. Gauntlets are momentary competitive game modes with special restrictions and rewards to earn.
